A long-time manufacturing client recently approached us with a challenge. They had thousands of documents stored in Informa’s Document Imaging Repository, ImageQuest (IQ) — specifically, a mixture of Packing Lists and Test Certifications that were originally saved together under a single document type: Packing List.
Over time, this practice made it difficult to locate individual Test Certifications when needed. Manually sorting through every multi-page document was out of the question. They needed a smarter way to locate and separate the Test Certifications buried within those thousands of files.
By using the Informa's IQ AI Connector paired with Microsoft's Azure AI Document Intelligence, we were able to automate the solution. The AI scanned each document in the repository, identified embedded Test Certifications, and automatically created new, separate Test Certification documents — all without human intervention.
